Addiction help in Winchester and the North Shore

Asking for help with drinking or drug use takes courage. Many people come to us after trying to cut back on their own. Others are worried about how alcohol or substances are affecting their mood, sleep, work, or relationships.

We offer medication-supported care for alcohol and substance use as part of adult psychiatric care. That means one team looks at your substance use and your mental health together.

Who we help

  • Adults who want help with alcohol use
  • Adults working on other substance use who want medication support
  • People with anxiety, depression, trauma, or sleep problems alongside substance use

Vivitrol for alcohol use disorder

Vivitrol is extended-release naltrexone, given as a once-monthly injection. It is FDA-approved for alcohol dependence and for preventing relapse to opioid dependence after detox. It is not right for everyone, and it works best as part of a broader plan. We review your history and current medications to decide together whether it fits.

Your first visit

It starts with a 60–90 minute comprehensive evaluation with a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. We talk about your goals, your health, and any co-occurring anxiety or depression. Then we build a plan with you, with regular follow-ups.

Therapy and coordinated care

Our licensed clinical social workers offer talk therapy for adults, including CBT, DBT-informed skills, ACT, and supportive therapy. With your permission, we also coordinate with your primary care provider and other programs you use.

We do not provide detox or withdrawal management in our offices. Withdrawal from alcohol and some drugs can be dangerous — please seek medical care. Bedre Health does not offer emergency care. In an emergency, call 911, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency room.

See us in person at 955 Main Street, Winchester or 6 Essex Center Drive, Peabody on the North Shore.
