What to know

Care where you don’t have to explain who you are

Everyone deserves mental health care that feels safe. For many LGBTQ+ people, past experiences with health care have been uncomfortable or worse. We want your visits here to feel different.

We use your chosen name and pronouns. We ask, we listen, and we don’t make assumptions about your identity, your relationships, or your goals.

Who we help

  • Lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, and questioning people
  • Transgender, nonbinary, and gender-questioning people
  • Teens 13 and up for evaluation and medication management
  • Adults for evaluation, medication management, and talk therapy

What treatment looks like

We help with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and more. We also understand minority stress — the strain that comes from discrimination, rejection, or having to stay on guard — and how it can affect mood, sleep, and relationships.

Our board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioners provide evaluation and careful medication management for ages 13 and up. Our licensed clinical social workers offer talk therapy for adults, using approaches like CBT, DBT-informed skills, ACT, and supportive therapy.

Your first visit

Your first visit is a 60–90 minute comprehensive evaluation. You share what you’re comfortable sharing, at your own pace. Together we build a plan that fits your life.

How we coordinate care

We focus on mental health care. With your permission, we coordinate with your primary care provider and other clinicians you already see.

Bedre Health does not offer emergency or urgent appointments. In an emergency, call 911, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency room.

See us in person at 955 Main Street, Winchester (near Woburn) or 6 Essex Center Drive, Peabody, or by secure video across Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
