Your First Psychiatric Appointment: Exactly What to Expect

What happens in a 60-minute psychiatric evaluation at Bedre Health — what to bring, telehealth vs in-person, and what you leave with.

The first visit is a 60-minute (sometimes 90-minute) conversation, not a quiz. We ask what brought you in, what you have already tried, medical and family history, sleep, substances, and what better would look like in your actual week.

Bring a medication list (including supplements), prior diagnoses if you have them, and notes on what helped or did not. Complete portal intake beforehand so the hour is not spent on paperwork.

Telehealth: phone or laptop, private room, stable connection. In-person: 955 Main Street, Winchester. You leave with a clinical impression, a plan, prescriptions if appropriate, and a follow-up date.

Step-by-step logistics live on our for patients page. Book from contact.
